PERSONAL ACCIDENT

THE PERSONAL ACCIDENT POLICY

The Policy offers protection for an Individual against accidental death or bodily injury resulting from accidents as well as reimbursement of any accompanying medical expense. It offers a 24-hour protection against accidents. The policy further provides a weekly benefit for up to 104 weeks if the insured is temporary totally disabled due to sickness resulting from the accident.

HOW TO TAKE THE COVER

A proposal form is completed disclosing information such as Age, Occupation, Beneficiary in case of death and the sum insured under the policy. Premium is calculated based on occupation of the proposer and the sum insured.

CLAIMS PROCEDURE In case of Accident that does not result in death, relevant benefit is paid to the insured. In case of death, the sum insured is paid to the beneficiary. The policy may be sold to Groups as well.

GPA (GROUP PERSONAL ACCIDENT)

The working activities of the Entire Staff involve travelling to various locations in the country. These could result in Risks of Death or being disabled through Accident. The Group Personal Accident is an Insurance cover for the Entire Staff against Death or Disablement as a result of an Accident. The coverage is 24 hours everyday either at work or outside work and the Period is normally one (1) year. The Capital Sum Insured (CSI) is normally the Sum Total of the Annual salaries of the workers or a Multiple of the Sum Total of the Annual Salaries.

1. Fatal Accident(Death) 100% C.S.I

2. Loss of Two Eyes or Two Limbs or One Eye and One Limb 100% C.S.I

3. Loss of One Eye or One Limb 50% C.S.I

4. Permanent Total Disability 100% C.S.I

5. Temporary Total Disablement for period of Disability per week for a maximum period of 104 weeks payable as weekly benefits 1% CSI

6. Medical Expenses incurred in connection with An Accident for which benefit is paid under (5) up to 5% of CSI
